Ports used in the WiAd System

Listing of ports used in WiAd.

Enable These Port Numbers for WiAd Server

Number	Protocol	Extended Desc
53	DNS	WiAd Resolves DNS request made on port 53
67 68	DHCP	When used to offer DHCP to clients this port must be open
80	HTTP	Imparative to the Operation of Ad Insertion and correct DNS frame forward/WiAd server can not have another web server running on port 80 concurently with WiAd server. You can change the Port on another webserver and program WiAd server to forward Domain Request to the other Port.
1812 1813	RADIUS	WiAd server finds other WiAd servers and communicates client data using the RADIUS protocol. So these ports must be open at all times. You can use WiAd as a Master RADIUS server or slave server as well


WiAd Server will not boot up correctly if mandatory Ports are not enabled or are being used by other applications.

1812 1813	RADIUS	Microsoft IAS and or RADIUS applications	use and alternate port 1645 and 1646 and slave the RADIUS server to WiAdServer
